The IEEE Student Branch at UTA was founded on January 2nd, 1963, with the mission of fostering innovation, leadership, and collaboration for students and young adults in engineering and technology. Over the decades, it has grown into an active organization on campus and in the DFW area, providing opportunities for students to engage in technical workshops, research projects, professional developments, and networking with industry professionals.

The IEEE Student Branch at UTA was founded before the university changed its name to UTA. We were technically formed as the IEEE Student Branch at Arlington State College!
