IEEE Student Lounge
Studying, Relaxing, Collaborating
for everyone

The IEEE Student Lounge
The IEEE student lounge is a study space for students to study, relax, and collaborate. This space is maintained by IEEE officers and committed students to provide a comfortable environment for anyone to succeed. Anyone can enter and use our lounge, as long as they adhere basic rules of respect, cleanliness, and responsibility.

Location & Operating Hours
The lounge consists of two different rooms in Nedderman Hall: NH 132 and NH 128. Both of these rooms are opened whenever there is an officer present. Regular hours during school semester is Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM; however, these hours are subject to change.

Lab Equipments
Both NH 132 and NH 128 are equipped with lab equipments such as power supply, oscilloscope, function generator, and multimeter. Basic handtools are also available for students to use upon request. Despite being available in both rooms, we recommmend using equipments in NH 128 as due to higher traffic in NH 132.

Snack Bar
The snack bar in the lounge is hosted and maintained by a group of enthusiastic EE students. The snack bar is only located in the IEEE lounge and is not associated with IEEE. Thus, any profit made from the snack bar is only used to provide higher quality snacks for our students. Utilities such as microwave, fridge, water kettle, and coffee machine (coffee pods included!) are free to use.

Gaming Lounge
Take a break and relax in our gaming lounge. We have a collection of different consoles, ranging from Xbox 360, to PS4, to Nintendo Switch. Alongside with these modern consoles and controllers, we also include a retro game station. Every game consoles here are free to use and self-service. Ask an officer if you are not sure how to operate them!

Other Resources
Other than previously mentioned, we also have resources such as course books (not available for lending, yet!), board games, calculator rentals. Most importantly, we have dedicated regulars who know what they are doing (most of the time). If you have any trouble with coursework, projects, or professional development, we are here to help.
